A few months back my husband had the opportunity to make a career move. ( thats pleasant talk for he fell victim to the poor economy) lol....at any rate, we choose to embrace the time off, take the kids out of school and do home study and hit the road in our motor home. First stop was Tx. Dripping Springs (Tx. hill country) to be exact. Only about 20 min. from Austin. We arrived the evening before my sons 11th birthday. Robbie always has the best birthdays because they usually fall during Spring Break! This year we celebrated in Wimberley Tx. on a friends property that he intends to retire on. The only structure on the property is a huge barn. We had a good ol fashion bbq, hiked around the property and enjoyed birthday cake in the barn. With the promise of heading to the "Dripping Springs Founders Day Carnival" the next day it was suddenly turning into a birthday weekend, as it usually does in our house. lol Next post, day 2
